Henrio is the stage name of the singer-songwriter and producer Enric Verdaguer who, after living in Liverpool for four years and being the voice of pianist Clara Peya’s last tour, starts his own project under this new identity. Last May Henrio released a first EP entitled ‘Help Me Understand’ and next January he upped the ante with ‘Somewhere, Sometimes’, his debut album.
This album, written in Catalan and English, comes from a return ticket, back to the country of origin, Catalonia. Retracing the path taken during four years of personal exploration, resuming ties that had been suspended due to distance, readjusting and retrieving a life that had been left behind. An album created to explain what is experienced in this strange transitional space, flooded by a wandering nostalgia, a corroboration of the passage of time and of observing that some things change but others not so much.
